On Saturday, December 21, fifteen brothers from Eta Omega Chapter joined with other local volunteers to host the second annual “Brunch with Santa” at The Briar event facility. “Brunch with Santa” is spearheaded by Atlanta City Councilmember Marci Collier-Overstreet, and provides a free meal and gifts from Santa to select Southwest Atlanta elementary school students and their families. Approximately 90 youth from Fickett, Continental Colony, Deerwood, Kimberly and Cascade Elementary Schools also enjoyed games and craft-making activities.
The brothers of Eta Omega contributed a number of gifts to the event through a toy drive led by the Chapter’s Social Action Committee. On the day of the Brunch, Eta Omega brothers, some in “elf hats”, assisted in venue set up and toy distribution. A great time was had by all, and Eta Omega looks forward to serving our community at the Brunch next year.
