On the evening of August 31st, Brothers of Eta Omega Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated delivered on a promise to provide carloads of school supplies to Dunbar Elementary in Atlanta’s Mechanicsville neighborhood. The items, collected by the Brotherhood during the Summer, were presented to Principal Karen Brown-Collier during Curriculum Night. About 60 parents and students attended the program which was held in the school gym.

Eta Omega Chapter has an ongoing relationship with Dunbar. The award winning mentoring program, Omega Manhood Leadership Institute, was relaunched there last Spring and will be based there during the entire 2016-2017 school year. A number of 3rd through 5th graders are already signed up, and parents of others expressed interest after hearing about OMLI on Curriculum Night.

With several of the Brothers having Deputy Registrar certifications from the Fulton County Board of Elections, all adults present were offered a chance to register to vote or update their voter information. One young woman took advantage.
